At LolliLocks, we feel it’s important
to give back to the community. We’re proud to support a national
affiliation with Locks of Love, a non-profit organization that provides
hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from
long-term medical hair loss. The custom hairpieces are all made
from donated human hair and do not require the use of tape or glue.
Children comprise over 80 percent of Locks of Love donors, making
this a charity one in which children have the opportunity to help
other children.
Each LolliLocks Kids Salon® location
provides one complimentary haircut per week to any child, 15 years
or younger, making a Locks of Love hair donation of 10 inches or
more. Hair donation appointments are required. Please call the LolliLocks
nearest to you to make an appointment.
Donated hair is evaluated for its usefulness according to the following
guidelines:
- It must be at least 10 inches in length.
- It must be clean and bundled in a ponytail or a
braid.
- It must be free of damage by chemical processing.
