share the loot: styling tips

Does your child’s hair stand on end? Contort unmanageably after a restless night’s sleep? Or just hang limp and lifeless? LolliLocks salon secrets will help with all your hair care worries.

Problem: Static/Flyaway Hair
In dry climates, the hair builds up static electricity and starts to “fly away” very easily. Here are two tips to fix this: 1) Use a detangler conditioning spray on the hair and lightly comb or brush. 2) Spray non-aerosol hairspray on a hairbrush. Then gently brush through your child's hair to eliminate static.

Problem: Bedhead
Most parents wash their children’s hair at night. Then the kids wake up with serious bedhead. Before heading out the door, try this styling tip: 1) Use a spray bottle or wet your fingertips to moisten the hair. 2) Then evenly distribute detangler, light gel or mousse through your child’s hair and style.

Problem: Limp, Dull Hair
Most parents don't realize they are guilty of rinsing their child’s shampooed hair with used bath water. The key to shiny, clean and manageable hair is simple: Always rinse your child’s shampoo and conditioner out properly with clean water from the tap.

Problem: Cradle Cap on Babies
Many parents ask us how to get rid of “cradle cap” in babies. Here are some tips to help: 1) If the scales are dry, rub baby oil into the scalp prior to washing. This will help loosen the scales. 2) Wash your child’s head with a baby-safe shampoo daily. 3) Massage the scalp with a toothbrush to loosen the scales. 4) Gently brush your child’s hair to help get rid of the scales.
